I attended a meeting at my son’s school tonight and one of the administrators spoke the phrase “if the door is locked, go through the window”. I had never heard the term before and although she was attempting to encourage the students to take different methods of working with their teachers to improve their grades, I found personal inspiration in the phrase.
How many times have we negated the idea of attempting to reach a goal or to do something we’ve always wanted to do because we didn’t have money or didn’t have immediate resources? Just because the path to our goal is not as clear as we think it should be doesn’t mean we can’t travel a different path; perhaps go through the window instead of the door? What this has reminded me to do is to “think outside the box” and be more creative in attaining the things I want in life (in a legal way of course- lol). I hope you will do the same!
